Easy Install is a "rolling release" or "continuous delivery" pipeline for the software. We update it on a regular basis, even when there are only minor changes and upgrades in place.
It is easier to apply fixes to the software available via Easy Install and then instruct site administrators to run an automatic upgrade, than it is to supply patches and expect them to apply them manually.
Rest assured that when new functionality or bugfixes are available that are useful to the entire community, a new version of the program will be made generally available for download.
